John Donaldson (1892-1970)

Birthplace: Glasgow, Mo.

Status: Player/scout

Bio: Donaldson's best days as a left-handed pitcher came with the barnstorming precursor to the Kansas City Monarchs, the J.L. Wilkinson-owned All-Nations team. When the Negro National League was founded in 1920, Donaldson stayed with Wilkinson to play center field and pitch for the Monarchs. He went on to become a scout for the Chicago White Sox.
