• Bio: One of two living candidates, Minoso's achievements go far beyond the fact that he is the only professional player to have participated in games in six different decades (1940s-90s). He was the first black Latino player in White Sox history at age 28 in 1951, after several productive years in the Negro Leagues. He went on to play 17 years in the majors, primarily with the White Sox and Indians. He had a .298 lifetime batting average, a .391 lifetime on-base percentage and won three Gold Gloves in the outfield.
