Alejandro Oms (1895-1946)

Bio: Nicknamed "El Caballero" (the Gentleman) for his demeanor on and off the field, Oms was a fast-running, far-ranging center fielder who starred in his native Cuba and in the U.S. Negro Leagues. He was elected to the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1944. He had a lifetime batting average of .320 in the Negro Leagues.
