Louis Santop (1890-1948) - ELECTED

Birthplace: Tyler, Texas

Status: Player

Bio: Santop was a huge catcher (6-foot-4, 240 pounds), and he hit like it. He was one of black baseball's earliest stars, slugging tape-measure home runs and catching Hall of Famer "Smokey" Joe Williams and candidate Dick Redding while demonstrating one of the game's strongest throwing arms from behind the plate.
