Sol White (1868-1955) - ELECTED • Birthplace: Bellaire, Ohio • Status: Player/manager/historian • Bio: "King Solomon" White is best known as an author. His book, "Sol White's Official Baseball Guide" was the earliest history of African-American baseball and remains a valuable resource for modern researchers. But he also played for 25 years, including five years in the predominantly white minor leagues before the color barrier was put into place.
